The Newspaper Editor — An old-fashioned journalist, who some in Hudson, Quebec, call The Last Muckraker, Jim Duff jumps off the screen in A Chemical Reaction as the guy who tells it like it is — or at least like he thinks it is.
    He alternately refers to Dr. June Irwin as a “crazy lady” and a “saint.” He also makes the chilling prediction that the chemical industry will never give up the fight to restore the use of pesticides in Canada.
